This Privacy Policy explains how BeezIndex collects, uses and protects information when you use our company-intelligence software, websites and related services (the “Services”).

1. Information you provide

When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, work email address, authentication details and account preferences. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and any information needed to respond.

2. Information used to provide company research

BeezIndex uses public websites, public company information and appropriately licensed sources to provide company and website research. Depending on the available source, this may include company names, public business URLs, public business locations, detected website technologies, public careers-page or vacancy routes and observation dates.

BeezIndex does not intentionally collect, store, index, enrich, sell or disclose personal email addresses, telephone numbers, mobile numbers or contact lists as company-research fields. Company research records describe organisations and public websites; they are observational, may be incomplete or outdated, and are not intended to create profiles of private individuals or make automated decisions about people.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide and secure the Services, authenticate users, maintain saved lists and monitoring, respond to support requests, improve reliability, prevent abuse, process billing and comply with legal obligations. We do not use BeezIndex to send email, SMS or social-media marketing campaigns on a user’s behalf.

4. Legal bases

Where UK or EU data-protection law applies, we process personal data where necessary to perform our contract with you, with your consent, for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, or to comply with a legal obligation.

5. Contact-data non-disclosure and service providers

We do not sell, rent, broker, disclose or provide personal contact data to BeezIndex customers, advertisers, marketing partners, data brokers or other third parties for outreach. BeezIndex does not provide contact lists or personal email addresses, telephone numbers or mobile numbers as a product output, and we do not send marketing campaigns on a user’s behalf.

Limited account, support and billing information may be processed by service providers that act to help us host, secure and operate BeezIndex, including authentication, infrastructure, email and payment providers. For example, when you submit the contact form, your message and reply address are sent through our email provider only so we can respond. Where payment processing or merchant-of-record services are provided by Paddle, relevant transaction information is processed according to the applicable Paddle terms and privacy notices. We do not disclose company-research contact data to these providers as a marketing list.

6. International transfers

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

7. Retention

We retain account information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed for security, support, legal, tax and operational purposes. Public research records may change as sources change. We delete or correct information when appropriate, including following a valid request or confirmed correction.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict or delete personal data, object to certain processing and withdraw consent. To make a request, use the contact page. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The Services are intended for business users and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the Services, our providers or applicable law. The latest version will remain available on this page with an updated revision date.
